The one on the left is the original book cover. Later, the publisher decided they wanted a cover that would appeal to older kids, so they had the artist do a 2nd one, which became the final cover!

Where did you get your idea?:

I got the idea for Born to Fly at a WWII air show, when I overheard a boy telling his little sister that girls could never be fighter pilots. I wrote the story for her…and my daughters.
